To get the most out of your candle, trim the wick to 1/4 inch before each burn, allow the wax to melt to the edges of the container on the first burn to prevent tunneling, and burn for no more than 3-4 hours at a time. Keep candles away from drafts, and never leave a burning candle unattended.
